The Gardeners Almanac

The place to find out what to do in the garden this week
My Back Garden

The Fruit Garden in October

Overview:

This can be quite a busy month in the fruit garden in terms of preparing for, and planting out, new fruit shrubs / trees.

The tasks listed below can be done at any time between now and Week 12/13 the following year; so to that end they do not necessarily require doing in the order listed.

In other words do them in the order that best suits your situation.

Note: As with most advice on gardening the advisors location will often influence the content of the advice.

To alleviate this problem I have produced this chart indicating how you can make adjustments to the timing of events as seen in this website.

I hope you find this useful! .......Tg
