Under glass in June

At any time this month;

Keep temperatures and humidity in check!

Similarly; check for signs of pests such as whitefly, and red spider mite.

Keep on top of 'deadheading' flowering plants to prolong the flowering period.

Repot houseplants as required.

 
 

Week 23 - 3rd to 9th

Set Cyclamen pots on their sides in a sheltered spot outside.

Commence Calathea feeding programme.

Pots of Calceolaria can be placed ouside if all fear of frost has passed.

Stop Fuchsias.

 
 

Week 24 - 10th to 16th

Feed & water FuchsiaHouseplants, Mimosa & Pleione on a regular basis.

Thin out Grapes with narrow-bladed scissors.

Tie in Cucumber as necessary.

Pinch out Aubergine, Melon &  Watermelons.

Plants,such as Camellias, Indian Azaleas,and Schlumbergera can be placed outside for the summer months in a sunny sheltered spot, when all fear of frost has passed.

 
 

Week 25 - 17th to 23rd

Place potted Datura outdoors for the summer.

Thin out Peaches.

Ensure that Tomato plants have a uniform supply of water and fertiliser.

 
 

Week 26 - 24th to 30th

Feed AubergineCucumber &  Watermelons.

Plant indoor grape vines.

Pinch out Aubergines as required.

Thin out lower tomato leaves to improve air circulation.
