SpathiphilumAn evergreen indoor perennial, that flowers between May and August.
Grow in 150mm (6") diameter pots, containing compost equal to John Innes No 2.
Water the plants regularly when in full growth, but less frequently in winter.
They should be lightly misted at least 3 or 4 times a week, alternatively, stand the pot on a plant saucer of moist grit, but on no account allow the pot to actually stand in water or the roots may rot.
Feed with a high potash feed at ten day intervals from March (Week 12) until September, and half strength once a month during winter months.
They prefer a lightly shaded position in summer with relatively high humidity, and maximum light in winter. Ideal temperatures are; 21°-24°C(70°-75°F) in summer, and 13°-16°C (55°-60°F) in winter. Re-pot annually in April (Week 16)
